Elevator 8, LLC, U.S.A is a social network and online platform for innovators, startups, investors, and businesses or professionals who support the growth of other businesses. Our registered users (“Members”) share their professional identities and experiences, engage with their connections and others, exchange knowledge and professional insights, post and view relevant content, launch polls to gain insight about topics of their interest, host online events, pose questions in forums, list their services, businesses, products, and requests, and learn and help others build their skills. Most importantly, they pitch their businesses and share funding opportunities. While Elevator 8 is a private network, some of the content and data is viewable to non-members (“Visitors”). Our Privacy Policy applies to any Member or Visitor to our Services.
Elevator 8 LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”) owns and operates this website (the “Service”). A visitor or end user of our Services shall be referred to as “you”, “your(s)”, “yourself”, “member(s) or “user (s)”.

Signing-Up Data
To create an account, you are required to provide data including your name and last name, business email address, organization name, title/role, country, phone number and a password. If you lack a business email you are required to share social media links and other additional information. If you register for a Premium Service, you will need to provide payment (e.g., credit card) and billing information. If you request to receive an identity and/or a business verification badge, you are required to provide personally identifiable information (such as a digital image of a valid government issued identification card).
Profile Data
You have choices about the information you share with other members on your profile, such as your education, organization, business, what you are seeking on the platform, photo, city or, area and phone number. Some Members may choose to complete a separate business listing form that would require some details about their businesses. Providing additional information on your profile is not mandatory; however, more information helps you to get more connections and achieve your goals fasters. It’s your choice whether to include sensitive information on your profile and to make that sensitive information public. Please do not post or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available.
Posting and Uploading
We collect personal data from you when you provide, post or upload it to our website such as when you fill out a form, (e.g., with demographic data), respond to a poll or survey, start a meeting, submit a Verification Request or provide information about events, e.g. times, places, attendees and contacts.

Content
You and others may post content that includes information about you (as part of articles, posts, comments, photos, videos) on our website. We also may collect public information about you, such as professional-related news and accomplishments.
Contact Information
We receive contact information about you when others send invitation messages to you to use our Services. We also receive information about you from Third Parties (service providers) when you choose to verify your Identity or verify your business on Elevator 8, or when an organization signs you up for using our service.
C. Service Use
We log usage data when you visit our website such as when you view or click on content or community Ads on Listings, when you perform a search, start a group or forum topic, share articles or a livestream or comment on posts. We use logins, cookies, device information and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to identify you and log your use.

For example, if you receive or accept an Elevator 8 connection request, or when you comment to a post or reply to one or when you are tagged by others, start a group or forum discussion, blog, start an event or poll, or start an in-group zoom meeting. We also use technologies to scan posts to protect our site. For example, we use such technology to manage or block content that violates our Terms and Conditions of Use.

We receive information about your shares from Elevator 8 with services provided by others and vice-versa.

2. How We Use Your Data
How we use your personal data will depend on which options you choose to use and the choices you make in your settings. We use the data that we have about you to provide to improve our services. We do not sell your data to third parties. Data shared with verification agents is shared only with your prior consent and upon your request to use the verification service. Data will be shared with law enforcement bodies if requested for criminal or fraud investigations.
A. Services
Our Services allow you to connect and stay in touch and up to date with partners, clients, and other professionals. Our services also allow others to assess the degree to which it is safe to connect and do business with you. We use data about you to enable a safe and relevant networking environment for you and other members. We will also use your activity and other data, including your name and photo, to provide notices to your network and other community members. For example, subject to your settings, we may notify others that you have updated your profile, posted new content, took a social action, advertised on listings, started a blog, forum topic, opened a group, started a poll, created an event, or made new connections.
According to your own posting options, registered users may choose to save your posts or share them to other social services, in which case such shares would be subject to such networks’ Privacy Policies.
All users have control on who views their personal information and posts. Public posts, public blogs, and public forum discussions, however, are indexed by search engines.
B. Premium Membership
Our Premium Membership Services provide our subscribers with tools including directing messaging, advertising, blogging, live streaming, creation of groups and forums, appearance of posts across community activity feeds should a premium member wish to use this option. Except for public posts, and some essential information such as Name, Organization, Country and in some cases social media links, you will be able to control the privacy of personal information and to block users you do not wish to receive communication from.
Users who choose to verify their Identities and Businesses will consent to share identification and other documents or information with ourselves and our verification service provider. Verification Badges will display generic information such as that identity and/or business as well as adverse media have been checked and verified and that the results are positive. Where the results of checks are not in favor of the service requestor, this member will not receive their badge and where evidence of compromised reputation exists, their activities on Elevator 8 will be restricted. Elevator 8 will not share any negative information for restricted members on its websites or elsewhere, unless information is formally requested by law enforcement agencies, or where it is necessary to report users engagement in questionable/suspicious illicit activities.
C. Communications
We will contact you through email, mobile phone, notices posted on our website, or through messages sent to your Elevator 8 inbox. We will send you messages about the availability or down time of our Services, security, or other service-related issues. Opting out of receiving our messages is not an option.

We do not share your personal data with ad networks. We respect self-regulatory principles for advertising and will ensure that community members using our listings tool will not flood community feeds with their Ads, since members have the option to report and block users who violate our community’s code of conduct with regards to Advertising.
Clicking on external Ad links shared by other community members from their profiles will give information about you to the external Ad creators. We have no control over your private information when you click on external links. We have no control on your information when you share from Elevator 8 to other networks either.
Ads/Listings Creators
When you use the Listings tool all members will see your listed service, business, or funding, mentoring, service, or partnership requests in the Listings Directory and in their newsfeeds.
Unless you work for an organization and will advertise its services or opportunities, Ads on behalf of non-community members and pay per click Ads are prohibited on Elevator 8. Members who violate this rule will have their accounts restricted.
E. Marketing
We may occasionally do unpaid promotions of promising innovations, ideas, startups, services or public posts and events of members or non-members. In this case, information that you provided as a member (such as contact information), will be shared with other community members or organizations who are not your connections.
F. Research
We use data, including your feedback, to conduct research to develop our Services for your benefit. We might also use your non identifiable data (aggregated) with organizations interested in research for development.
We seek to create economic opportunity for all those who aspire to start businesses, grow them, or improve their services. We also aim to provide those who seek to guide others to success with a mentoring platform that rises to their expectations. In this context, we occasionally conduct polls and surveys.
Polls and Surveys
Polls and surveys are conducted by us and other community members. Members are not obliged to participate in such activities. Aggregated data from polls and surveys that do not identify members may be shared with others.
G. Security and Fraud Investigations
We might use your data (including your communications) for security purposes or to prevent or investigate possible fraud or other unlawful violations or criminal offenses.
3. Information Shared on Elevator 8
A. Information Others Can See
Your basic profile information is visible to all members, subject to your settings. If your posts are public, it can also be visible to others off our website (search engines). Your settings, degree of connection with the viewing member, the subscriptions they may have, their access permissions and search types (e.g., by name or by keyword) impact the availability of your profile information and whether members can view certain fields in your profile.

Enterprise Accounts
Organizations may sign-up some of their employees to use our Services. In this case the designated employer may review your accounts.
B. Third-Party Service Providers
We use third-party services to help us provide our service (e.g., maintenance, analysis, payments, verifications, fraud detection, live-streaming, and security). Such parties will have access to your information as reasonably necessary to perform these tasks on our behalf and like ourselves, are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes. Should they disclose such information to other parties, it is not the responsibility of Elevator 8.
C. Legal Disclosures
It is possible that we might need to disclose information about you when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process or if we fairly believe that disclosure is necessary to (1) investigate, prevent or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government law enforcement agencies; (2) exercise or protect the rights, safety and integrity of Elevator 8, our members or staff; (3) defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations; (4) enforce our agreements with you. We shall notify members about legal demands for their personal data when appropriate in our judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. We may dispute such demands when we believe that the requests are vague or lack proper authority.
Law Enforcement Agencies
Except in emergency situations, law enforcement agents requesting information about members must submit requests made through formal U.S. legal procedures (subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants). Please note that certain types of member data, including messages, invitations, and connections, can only be disclosed pursuant to a valid search warrant from an entity with proper jurisdiction.
Data requests from outside of the United States and the EU must be made through an official Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty or, letter rogatory.
All requests must include the agent’s Badge/ID number, formal contact information and must specify the investigated member account by providing either, (1) the full name of the member; (2) Email address associated with the account or (3) Mobile phone number. Data requests may be delivered by email to info.legal@elevator8.com.
D. Change in Control or Sale of Elevator 8
Your information or personal data is subject to sharing as part of a sale, merger or change in Elevator 8 management or control. Any other entity which buys us or becomes part of our business will have the right to access or continue to use your data, but only in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy unless you agree otherwise.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data if you keep your account open or as needed. This includes data you or others provided to us, and data generated or inferred from your use of our Services.

6. Closing Accounts
If you close your Elevator 8 account, your personal data will not be visible to others within 24 hours of closure. Information of closed accounts is retained for 30 days except whereas noted below.
Compliance with legal obligations. Meeting regulatory requirements, resolving disputes, maintaining security, preventing fraud and abuse
Account Restriction. We have restricted your account for breach of our Terms and Conditions of Use,
Active Subscription to Communications from. When you closed your account, you did not “unsubscribe” from receiving further messages from us.
Information you have shared with others. Information you shared with others through updates or group posts, forums, or messages, will remain visible after you close your account or delete the information from your own profile or inbox. Your profile may continue to be displayed in search engine results.
7. Security
We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data, and regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you send us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or other safeguards.
8. Data Transfers
We process data both inside and outside of the United States and use mechanisms to lawfully transfer data across borders. Countries where we process data may have laws which are different from, and not as protective as the laws of your own country.
9. Lawful Basis for Processing
We only collect and process personal data about you where we have lawful basis. Lawful basis include your consent, contract (to deliver the Elevator 8 Service you have requested) and legitimate interests.

In this case we and the PWA service provider, may use your mobile device ID (that is. the unique identifier assigned to a mobile device by the manufacturer) and/or Advertising ID (for Apple iOS) instead of cookies to recognize you and track displayed web pages for Elevator 8, along with their performance.
